Health & Housing

We believe that housing is a social determinant of health and that without a safe, affordable and secure place to live it is impossible for people to successfully overcome their health and social issues.

El Borinquen Resident

Since 1992, Comunilife has been a lifeline for New Yorkers who need more than just a roof—they need a chance to rebuild, heal, and thrive. For individuals who have experienced homelessness or long-term hospitalizations, stable housing is often the first step toward a safer, healthier future. We believe that no one should return to homelessness simply because they lacked the supportive foundation to succeed.

With a continuum of 3,107 affordable and supportive housing units, Comunilife meets people where they are. We surround each resident with the services, care, and encouragement they need to stay housed and move forward with confidence. Our goal is simple but profound: to equip every individual with the tools and stability they need to live independently and fully participate in the community they call home.

We offer a continuum of housing options ranging from emergency transitional housing to community residences to permanent housing.
